DeAnna has served over thirty years in the entertainment industry globally as an entrepreneur, CEO, producer, and brand strategist: specializing in planning and execution. In 1995, DeAnna launched her first entrepreneurial venture, Joséa Agency, which represented the first assistants of well-known photographers such as Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber and Patrick Demarchelier. She began repping talents in the entertainment and fashion industry, such as Jonathan Mannion and Norman Watson. DeAnna’s natural ability to envision and plan the best strategies for a brand and the market culture stems from her upbringing in New York City. Her keen perceptions began early in life, as she successfully navigated the sensitivities involved in attending an all-girls school in Manhattan, while living at home in the South Bronx.


Her entrepreneurial journey began at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Oxford University. During her summers, she interned at agencies Ogilvy (formerly Ogilvy&Mather) and Ammirati + Puris, Inc in New York. After graduating, DeAnna began as an intern – working for talents including, Wu-Tang Clan and Vincent Herbert. She was promoted quickly to senior leadership at Def Jam Records (RUSH Communications) and later Uptown Entertainment.


By July 2000, DeAnna co-founded Gravillis Inc.; a boutique design campaign agency behind dozens of iconic movie posters and key art including the Oscar-winning films: West Side Story, Dune, Free Solo, BlacKkKlansman, If Beale Street Could Talk, and Bohemian Rhapsody. Most recently, Gravillis Inc. has designed the Oscars global branding campaigns for the 95th and 96th Academy Awards for The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Through her unique vision and savvy leadership over the last 25 years, Gravillis Inc. has grown from a one-room studio to an industry powerhouse with clients like Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV+, Hulu, Disney+, Marvel, Warner Bros., and HBO Max who all rely on Gravillis for consistently innovative design. Well-respected in the industry, Gravillis Inc. is the recipient of over 27 Clio Awards and numerous awards for excellence in artistic brand design and creative advertising campaigns, including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Deadpool 2, Straight Outta Compton, RBG, Hidden Figures, Logan, and Creed III.


In March 2024, DeAnna sold Gravillis Inc. and resigned from her seat as CEO. With over 25 years of experience collaborating with best-in-class creatives and marketers, DeAnna is placing Evoke Inc. in a position to be the ideal collaborative and strategic partner to catalyze and launch extraordinary plan initiatives for brands around the globe. As a serial entrepreneur seeing the need for innovative brand strategy and development, DeAnna has launched Evoke Inc.— a “pre-marketing” and forecasting agency designed to help create legendary brands at their foundation, developing brand strategies from ideation to launch. DeAnna strives to give back by developing the next generation of successful entrepreneurs and changemakers.


Adding to her multi-hyphenate nature, DeAnna lives and works both within the creative stronghold of Los Angeles and the unparalleled innovation of Seattle. She serves on the executive committees of Knock Out Abuse West, 826LA, Get Lit, Literary Riot and sits on the board of Promax, now known as the Global Entertainment Marketing Academy of Arts & Sciences, GEMA. This mother of two young adults is perfecting her golf swing and engaging in philanthropic activities. DeAnna still makes time for yoga, cooking, playlist curation, and binge-watching her favorite comedy specials.
